Vodafone Qatar, the Gulf Arab state’s second largest telecoms firm by market value, has finally been awarded the country’s second fixed-line phone license. Vodafone’s final approval for the license has been dogged by delays due to complications with the fixed-line consortium’s shareholding structure and goes back to September 2008.
