Turkey’s Turkcell has reported that its fourth-quarter revenues declined by 3 percent to TRY2.26 billion (US$1.47 billion), but net income plunged by 45.3 percent to TRY253 million (US$164 million) mainly due to the negative impact of goodwill impairment charges, fixed asset write-offs, and legal payments and provisions totaling TRY256 million in the fourth quarter of 2009.
