Motorola’s communication networks, applications and services business Motorola Solutions is selling off two of its wireless broadband networks divisions to the Vector Capital private equity firm. The Orthogon (point-to-point) and Canopy (point-to-multipoint) network businesses will be operated as a single stand-alone company called Cambium Networks with the deal potentially completed by the end of September. Motorola Solutions intends to purchase products from the new company to support its business. Financial terms were not disclosed.
