Microsoft has filed a case with the US International Trade Commission (ITC) stating that Motorola Mobility – currently in Google’s acquisition sights – has infringed seven of its smartphone-related patents encompassing Windows Phone’s email, calendar, contacts and notifications functionality. Microsoft has also requested the ITC to block sales of several Motorola mobile devices in the US according to Light Reading Mobile.
