The Wall Street Journal notes that plans for a merger between US prepaid operators Leap Wireless and MetroPCS are stuck in limbo. After opening up talks in February, the two sides reportedly remain at an impasse. At this stage, a deal isn’t likely unless the two sides can agree on the relative value of each company, which would determine the exchange ratio at which Leap shareholders would turn in their shares for MetroPCS shares.
