The Wall Street Journal reports that Adobe Systems yesterday unveiled the latest version of its Acrobat suite of software for creating and viewing PDF files, the company’s latest move to bolster its influence over the popular document format and boost revenue from program sales and upgrades. The suite – dubbed Acrobat X – builds on features introduced in 2008 in Acrobat 9, which allows users to embed and view video, Web pages and other dynamic content in PDF files.
