South Korean games company Gamevil announced a second quarter net profit of KRW3.8 billion (US$3.5 billion) on revenue of KRW9.8 billion, “maintaining the highest percentage of operating profit ration in the Korean mobile gaming industry, at more than 41 percent.” The company said that revenue from smartphone platforms accounted for 62 percent of its total during the period, increasing by 259 percent to KRW6.1 billion, with overseas revenue increasing by 34 percent.
