Facebook has expanded its App Center to the non-English speaking markets of Brazil, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, Taiwan and Turkey, reports The Next Web.

Featured new apps and the language settings for the web and mobile app store will differ depending on the location users have set.

Launched in the US in June, App Center was made available to Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa and the UK in early July, with a bookmark for the service appearing on Facebook home pages and within the iPhone, iPad and Android apps.

According to Facebook, around 80 percent of its active users are from outside the US and Canada, with many of the most popular apps and games built by developers outside the region.

Developers can access a localisation tool on the Facebook App Dashboard, to allow them to quickly translate app information such as name, tagline and description into local languages.
