Peter Hazlehurst (pictured), director of product management for Google Wallet, is back as a board member of US firm Anchor ID.

According to Hazlehurst’s LinkedIn profile, he is “looking for a challenge” and appears to have found one with a new role at the US firm which pitches itself as offering a “conveniently secure digital identity”.

Anchor ID’s Twitter profile says it will launch “soon”, although it is unclear when this was written.

Hazlehurst left Google at the end of March and although he appears to be no longer in mobile payments, identity/security is an adjacent area.

However, his position at Anchor ID has a non-executive feel to it (he is a board member rather than taking up a specific executive role), meaning he might still reappear somewhere else.
