Belgium has sold off four 4G/LTE licences, netting EUR77.79 million for the government. According to the country’s regulator, the winning bidders were Belgacom (which spent EUR20.22 million), BUCD (EUR22.51 million), KPN Belgium (15.04 million) and Mobistar (EUR20.02 million). A fifth bidder – Craig Wireless Belgium – failed to secure a licence. Spectrum in both the FDD and TDD bands was sold off.
