Google announced its Android 3.2 platform release, with the updated operating system for tablets adding “several new capabilities for users and developers.” The company also “reminded” developers it has recently released new versions of its SDK Tools and its Eclipse plug-in, with the Android Native Development Kit also updated. According to Google, the new platform includes “a variety of refinements across the system” to deliver an improved user experience across a wider range of tablets; support for the recently-announced compatibility display mode; media sync from an SD card; and an extended screen support API, “for developers who want more precise control over their UI across the range of Android-powered devices.”
