The Hindustan Times reports that Reliance Communications has denied it had a stake in Swan Telecom at the point when the new-entrant was issued with its 2G licence, stating that there has been “no violation of our licence conditions at any stage” as a result of cross-ownership issues. Swan Telecom is now called Etisalat DB, with UAE operator Etisalat as its significant telecoms-sector investor.
