PRESS RELEASE: ZTE Corporation released the B810T2-A10, a new-generation 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) single-mode Set Top Box (STB) at MWC Barcelona 2024. The STB is designed to provide users with smooth and clear TV images while also helping operators quickly upgrade services and improve user stickiness.

4K UHD is an inevitable trend of video streaming, with Internet Protocol (IP) video services already being delivered mostly in 4K. However, Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) services, which are mainly carried over terrestrial wave, satellite, and cable, are still chiefly presented in High Definition (HD). To meet users’ increasing demand for image quality, broadcast and TV content and service providers, as well as telecom operators across the globe, have begun to deploy UHD video services in earnest.

The 4K DVB Zapper STB unveiled at the event, is ZTE’s new-generation Linux-based 4K STB. The device carries a high-performance System on Chip (SoC) based on the chip Cortex-A35 and has a large memory. It supports H.265 decoding, High Dynamic Range 10 (HDR10), and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) in addition to providing a variety of peripheral interfaces such as Universal Serial Bus (USB) and High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI). 4K resolution output enables end users to enjoy a UHD viewing experience, thereby enhancing their satisfaction. With the 2024 Summer Olympics to be held in Paris, France, the device is expected to well serve operators in video delivery and users in video watching.

As a world-leading provider of home media terminals, ZTE is committed to the development and application of high-quality products. In the future, ZTE will continue to deepen cooperation with global operators in exploring new product types in a bid to develop premium home terminals and build a bright future for smart homes.
