Qatar state fund eyes Vodafone Egypt stake
The Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) reportedly reached an advanced stage in talks to buy a 20 per cent stake in Vodafone Egypt from Telecom Egypt, part of a wider $2. 5 billion investment in state-owned assets in the North African country.
Egypt heavyweights strike agreements worth $900M
Telecom Egypt and fellow domestic player Etisalat Misr agreed six commercial and strategic deals worth EGP17 billion ($912. 5 million) for a period of 10 years, covering infrastructure, technology and roaming services.
