Chinese device maker TechFaith said it will expand shipments of its Android smartphones into Hong Kong, South Africa and Latin America during the first half of 2012. The company is leading the effort with its Titan device, a rugged handset, which it has said has “established a longer than typical lifecycle” by targeting a market which is otherwise underserved.
