Cellular News reports that Qatar Telecom (Qtel) has reported a 7.9 percent drop in its fourth-quarter profits of QAR431 million (US$118 million) due to non-operational provisions in the Kuwaiti firm’s Wataniya subsidiary. Revenues were up 9 percent to QAR6.54 billion (US$1.8 billion). EBITDA was up 4.6 percent to QAR2.97 billion, although the EBITDA margin fell to 45 percent from 47 percent.
