Verizon Wireless plans to offer another way for customers to make purchases through their phones beyond its ISIS venture with AT&T and T-Mobile USA. According to Dow Jones Newswires, Verizon is partnering with privately-held Payfone to bring a one-click payment option to its devices. Customers can use the mobile Internet to order digital goods such as music or ebooks and have the charge placed on their monthly Verizon bill. For physical goods and more expensive products, customers can link the service to their own credit card. The Payfone capability is an evolution of Verizon’s BilltoMobile service.
