Telecompaper reports that Singapore’s Infocomm Development Authority is considering issuing more radio frequencies for the mobile sector. The regulator opened a public consultation on making available three 2 x 5 MHz lots of spectrum in the 1900/2100 MHz band for 3G, which could go to strengthening the existing three mobile operators’ broadband services or support the entry of a new operator. A separate consultation was opened on issuing rights for the 2.3GHz and 2.5GHz bands for LTE, from 2015.
