India’s telecoms regulator is to examine a recent Department of Telecom (DoT) proposal to merge all 22 telecom circles potentially into a single nationwide license, a senior official at the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) told India’s Economic Times newspaper.  The move will prevent users being charged roaming rates for moving between circles.
