The Wall Street Journal reports that billionaire hedge-fund manager Philip Falcone is set to step-aside as the public face of planned wholesale network operator LightSquared, as part of an agreement designed to stop the company from defaulting on its debt. LightSquared is looking for a one-week extension on a debt-term violations waiver which ends today, in order to continue negotiations on a long-term plan.
