Asian mobile operator group Axiata ended 2009 with 120 million subscribers, up 34 percent year-on-year, notes Telecompaper. Fourth-quarter revenues went up 53 percent to MYR3.69 billion, while full year 2009 revenues grew 15 percent to MYR 13.11 billion as Celcom, XL and Axiata Bangladesh delivered strong revenue performance. Fourth quarter profits were MYR558 million, versus a net loss of MYR 515 million a year earlier, and full year profits stood at MYR1.65 billion, up from MYR498 million in 2008.
