11 AUG 2015

ASUS held an event in India to support the launch of its latest ZenFone products in the market, which also saw the worldwide launch of its ZenFone Max.

ZenFone Max is a large-screen device – 5.5 inches – with the headline feature being an “ultra-high-capacity 5000mAh battery”. It is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, with “up to 2GB of RAM”.

Other features include 13MP rear and 5MP front cameras with the rear including laser auto-focus for “sharp, near-instant shots”.

The company also showcased two variants of its ZenFone 2 – Deluxe (pictured) and Laser. The former has a “gorgeous new multifaceted polygonal finish”, while the latter sees laser auto-focus added to the 13MP main camera.

ZenFone 2 Laser is also available in three different sizes – with 5-inch, 5.5-inch and 6-inch screens. And While ZenFone 2 (and Zenfone 2 Deluxe) is powered by an Intel processor, Laser uses a Qualcomm chip.

Also on show were the previously announced ZenFone Selfie and ZenPad 7.0 and ZenPad 8.0 tablets.
