Japanese mobile social network Gree released further details of its planned global social gaming platform, which it claims is “bringing developers a fully ‘borderless’ system including single sign-on for users, a global payment solution, and a series of robust out-of-network cross promotional opportunities.”

The company said that building on its commitment to free-to-play games, a new software development kit will offer all developers access to the network’s “high-engagement player base of over 150 million registered gamers worldwide.” It will also enable them to target users across both iOS and Android platforms.

The service will feature unified iOS and Android APIs, as well as an app discovery portal which will offer games with “the next generation of social tools and interaction, and continue to provide all of the most popular features such as leaderboards and achievements.” Gree said the new platform will also provide developers with rich analytics tools.

It is scheduled for availability in the second quarter of 2012.
