Fiksu FreeMyApps to fuel paid app downloads

13 DEC 2011

App marketing technology company Fiksu launched a new product intended to help paid iOS developers better market and grow their business. FreeMyApps is a scalable technology which allows consumers to access a selection of full-version paid apps for free, in exchange for trying free products.

The company said that the FreeMyApps Traffic Enrichment Layer uses advertising traffic from ad networks and real time bidding exchanges to drive higher conversion rates and download volumes. The technology makes engagement with banner ads more valuable for users by giving them access to paid apps for free. By downloading free sponsor apps, consumers can earn credits which can be redeemed for paid titles.

The technology should help developers and marketers overcome the challenge of cost-effectively driving download volume and revenue growth for paid apps while spreading awareness of their products through word of mouth. "With FreeMyApps, it's a win for everyone – paid app developers can be profitable at scale without switching to a free or freemium model, free app developers can expand their reach and consumers can get paid apps for free,” Fiksu CEO Micah Adler said.
