Two so-called ‘jailbreak’ apps stores – Cydia and Rock – have joined forces to create what is thought to be the world’s largest third-party app store for jailbroken devices. US website Gizmodo reports that the deal was made late last week after several months of negotiations. It notes that all existing Rock apps will be merged with Cydia “as soon as possible,” with Rock users eventually being required to create a Cydia login to buy further apps. Cydia’s app for iOS lets a user browse and download applications for a jailbroken iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
