Polish telecoms regulator UKE is planning to cut mobile termination rates for operators in 2013, according to Reuters. The fees will be cut in two stages – 33 percent initially, followed by a further 52 percent – to appease operators that say they will be hit hard by the reductions. The move mirrors a European effort to reduce mobile phone bills which has had a significant effect on operator revenue.
