UK chipset designer ARM Holdings is working with NFC vendor Proxama to create secure environments for NFC and mobile internet payments. The collaboration intends to combine ARM’s Trustzone technology with Proxama’s Mobile Wallet product, said the NFC vendor.  Proxama’s existing partners include MasterCard and Nokia. It expects to announce the first collaborative prototypes with ARM “in the coming weeks”.  Ben Cade, general manager of ARM’s secure services division, predicted 2012 would see “explosive growth in smartphones and tablets” that have security based on Trustzone technology
