Musa Capital, a South African private equity fund which is a significant investor in G-Mobile, the holder of the third mobile licence in Malawi, is reported to be seeking investors to share the costs for the rollout of the operator’s network. According to Bloomberg, G-Mobile will spend US$25 million by the end of 2010 in order to support its initial network launch, having already missed deadlines set by the regulator, with the intention to spend $150 million on its network over the next three years.
