Kakao profit jumps 3-fold on ad, content growth
Kakao, the South Korea-based company behind the Kakao Talk messaging app, reported a surge in Q3 profit and strong revenue growth across its advertising, content and commerce platforms. Its net profit for the quarter leapt nearly threefold year-on-year to KRW39.
Candy Crush arrives on Kakao games platform
Hugely popular mobile game Candy Crush has been launched for Kakao’s mobile game platform. The move means the game is available to the 110 million people who use the South Korean company’s messaging services across various mobile operating systems.
