Legendary music manager Peter Jenner has told Mobile World Live that the digital music industry is still struggling to figure out how best to capitalise on the huge potential offered by mobile devices. “I don’t think that most artists have put together the fact that the mobile phone has the potential to be what the iPod was…. I still don’t think that we’ve worked out the mobile phone music business,” said Jenner in a video interview. Jenner certainly has the credentials to make such claims; he was Pink Floyd's first manager, and subsequently managed Syd Barrett's solo career. Jenner has also looked after T.Rex, The Clash, Ian Dury, Disposable Heroes and Billy Bragg. He's now secretary general of the International Music Managers’ Forum.
