US no-contract operator Leap Wireless plans to launch LTE networks in the second half of this year but believes the technology will have to wait another twelve months before seeing massmarket take-up by consumers. In an exclusive interview with Mobile World Live, CEO Doug Hutcheson said its 3G offering is going to be a focus for a few more quarters and that LTE devices will really hit critical pricing points later in 2012.
