LIVE FROM GSMA MOBILE 360 NORTH AMERICA: Jibe Mobile is demonstrating its end-to-end IP messaging cloud-based services, based on the GSMA’s RCS specification.

The company said that its platform, including public cloud, private cloud, communications client, RCS hub, and telco-web gateway, is “built for carriers to launch ‘the new native’ experience for mobile consumers everywhere, rivalling the best OTT has to offer”.

“Jibe’s cloud is clearly disrupting traditional infrastructure vendors by providing the proven platform infrastructure for operators to rapidly launch, globally connect, and integrate these next generation IP communication services with SMS/MMS over LTE and WiFi around the world,” said Amir Sarhangi (pictured), the company’s CEO.

Jibe is demonstrating cloud-based RCS/joyn deployments for Sprint in North America and Deutsche Telekom in Europe. It will highlight RCS features working between operators, interconnecting via its RCS hub, which also enables interconnect if an operator has only launched a subset of the supported features, or is using a different version of the RCS standard.

US number three operator Sprint launched Messaging Plus, its RCS service powered by Jibe Mobile, late in 2013. It is now pre-loading Messaging Plus on “most new Android-powered smartphones”.
