New GSMA study resets global mobile penetration below 50%
Less than half of the world’s population has subscribed to a mobile service, according to a major new study by Wireless Intelligence that investigated the gulf between individual mobile users (people) and registered mobile connections (SIM cards).
Double digit subscriber growth in China
The Chinese mobile industry will grow by 12 percent in 2012, according to the latest numbers from Wireless Intelligence, which expects the market to add 120 million net additions in the period.
