True sees continued loss on 3G expenses
Reuters said that Thai operator True expects to post another loss in 2012, due to the investments it is making in its 3G network rollout, although it expects to return to the black in 2013.
Thai publication The Nation said that the country’s Office of the Attorney General had given the green light to an alliance between CAT Telecom and True, although it has advised CAT to confirm with the communications regulator that the necessary contracts are “appropriate.”
DTAC takes to court to halt CAT/True plans
Thai newspaper The Nation reports that operator DTAC has filed a complaint with the courts related to an agreement between rivals CAT and True Corp, which would see these companies jointly investing in CDMA and HSPA mobile services.
