Rovio cloud games subsidiary wins Docomo backing
NTT Docomo invested an undisclosed amount in Rovio subsidiary Hatch Entertainment, a cloud-based game streaming service, as part of a partnership that will see the operator bring more games to its Japanese customers.
Rovio revels in Angry Birds 2 revenue
Angry Birds 2 experienced its best-ever year in 2018, making a significant contribution to developer Rovio’s mobile revenue, Sensor Tower reported. The game, which launched in mid-2015, generated revenue of more than $116 million through in-app purchases in 2018.
