NSN scoops UK shared 3G network contract

Mobile Broadband Network Ltd. (MBNL), the network sharing joint-venture between UK mobile operators T-Mobile and 3, has selected Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) as its 3G network infrastructure supplier.

Telefonica to trial LTE in six countries

Telefonica yesterday announced plans to trial LTE technology in six countries across Europe and Latin America, as the operator giant mulls its commercial next-generation network plans. The chosen countries are Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic and the UK, whilst the six vendors picked for the trials are Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Huawei, NEC, Nokia Siemens Networks and ZTE.
