Subscription mobile TV services suffer blow

Pay-for mobile TV services in Europe and Asia have taken a hit this week. First up, German mobile TV operator Mobile 3.0 is reported to be closing down, according to Broadband TV News, which cites a Handelsblatt report.

Interfax-China reports that China Mobile has received approval to expand its TD-SCDMA coverage to more cities across the country, a deployment analysts believe could increase subscribers from 50,000 at the end of June to 2.31 million by the end of 2008.
