US president Donald Trump (pictured) extended a ban on domestic companies buying communications technology or services from organisations deemed a national security threat by a year, a move widely viewed as targeting Chinese vendor Huawei.
US signs-off replacement kit fund
The US Senate advanced legislation which would establish a $1 billion fund to help small operators foot the bill of replacing network kit from companies deemed to be security threats, sending the measure to President Donald Trump for final approval.
