TeleGeography notes ZDNet is reporting that UK regulator Ofcom is aiming to begin the auction process for spectrum in the 2.6GHz band by the end of March 2009. The announcement comes despite reported ongoing legal action; T-Mobile UK and O2 UK launched litigation against the regulator in May 2008, claiming that the sale should not take place until the future of 900MHz spectrum was decided.
