Payment processing giant PayPal is expected to process US$3 billion worth of mobile transactions during 2011, compared with a previous forecast of US$2 billion. The Wall Street Journal reports that Laura Chambers, the eBay subsidiary’s head of mobile, said that she gets a “sense of surprise” from the numbers, with the current upward revision being the second time its forecast has been increased.
