US LTE wholesale operator LightSquared announced today the creation of the ‘Empower Rural America Initiative,’ which will see it “work with small cities and rural communities to ensure the deployment of this new satellite and broadband service.” The initiative will focus on ensuring LightSquared’s service does not interfere with rural GPS services.
