Google said that 81.5 percent of Android users are running a version of the platform from Android 2.2 onwards, including 1.3 percent using a tablet version of the OS. The most popular version by some distance is Android 2.2, used by 55.9 percent of devices, followed by Android 2.3.3/2.3.4, with 23.7 percent. The figures are based on visits to Android Market during the 14 days to 1 August 2011.
