AT&T has launched its new femtocell in the US via a public market trial in Charlotte (North Carolina), reports CNet News. Dubbed the ‘3G MicroCell,’ the AT&T femtocell is designed to boost both the voice and data signal in the home by using a home broadband network. AT&T stores are charging US$150 for the 3G MicroCell hardware. Unlimited calling costs US$20-per-month without a AT&T fixed-line or DSL service.
