Light Reading reports that US regulator the  Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is asking Google about complaints surrounding its Google Voice service, an invitation-only service that simplifies the management of multiple phone numbers in the same way that Gmail and other Webmail services make it easy to get email from multiple accounts all in one place.

AT&T has upped the ante in the ongoing debate around net neutrality in the US arguing that any proposed new rules should include web-based voice providers such as Google, reports Reuters.

T-Mobile USA is to offer Motorola's new Android-powered handset - Cliq - from October 19 for US$199.99 on a two-year contract, reports Reuters. Pre-sales will run from that date until 1 November, after which time the device will be available widely in T-Mobile USA stores.

AT&T is the second-largest US mobile operator and exclusive provider of Apple's iPhone.
