Weve, the B2B venture set up by the UK’s leading operators, has confirmed that it has integrated Vodafone into its advertising and commerce platform. The venture has already carried out the same process with its two other shareholders, Telefonica O2 and Everything Everywhere.

The move means Weve can now offer potential advertisers and other partners access to a potential audience of 15 million opted-in subscribers from a single point of contact. Initially, it will offer SMS-based advertising campaigns to agencies and brands.

The timetable for Vodafone adding their subscribers is in keeping with that laid out by Weve in an interview with Mobile World Live at the end of 2012.

3 UK is not a member of the group although the UK’s smallest operator can access the B2B venture’s systems, as can other rivals such as MVNOs.

Weve is also developing other B2B services including display advertising, a mobile wallet and, eventually, payments. Some services pioneered by its shareholders on their own will not be rolled into the new venture.
