Vodafone is planning to roll out M-Pesa in Egypt and Romania by end of the end of 2013, according to the Business Standard.

Meanwhile the operator is progressively introducing the mobile money service in cities and states across India.

Vodafone has launched M-Pesa in a number of markets across its geographic footprint, although the service is most associated with Kenya where it has been a massive success.

Working with ICICI Bank, the operator has just launched M-Pesa in Delhi, following earlier deployment in Kolkata, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Rajasthan.  Vodafone partnered with ICICI Bank for these earlier launches, except Rajasthan where it worked with HDFC Bank.

Mumbai and Lucknow are expected to be the next launch markets over the next few days.
