Sweden’s Seamless is going to load more traffic on its SEQR payments platform through a partnership with UK remittance firm Xpress Money.

The UK firm claims to be one of the fastest growing money transfer outfits, thanks to a presence in 150 countries. Users can receive remittances in a number of forms, including delivery to a mobile wallet.

Xpress Money hopes the partnership will reduce costs as well as enhancing its European presence.

The plan is to integrate the two firms’ systems during 2016.

The SEQR platform is currently used for in-store and online payments and now will add remittance traffic. At the end of 2015, the Swedish firm also struck a deal for carrying traffic from US P2P payments firm Dwolla on its SEQR platform.

At the end of last year, Seamless also announced it was planning a private placement for the loss-making part of the business which operates the SEQR platform.
