Apple has filed a suit in a Californian court to stop sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus, an NFC-enabled handset.  According to The Wall Street Journal, Apple’s suit was filed in a US district court on Wednesday but the complaint is not yet public. An accompanying motion accuses Samsung of violating four patents that cover distinguishing features of the iPhone.  None of the four patents concern NFC technology. The Samsung handset runs the latest version of Android called Ice Cream Sandwich which includes NFC capability. Apple does not currently offer the short-range wireless technology on any of its handsets.
