Orange has launched its NFC Service Center, which is designed to support companies in developing and deploying new NFC-based services.

The operator says the center can take a range of activities and enable them for NFC, including public transport fares, loyalty card usage, access badges and entry to public infrastructure, such as swimming pools or libraries.

It will offer two standalone trusted service manager (TSM) platforms. One is a secure platform designed for banking and payment services that is complaint with international standards related to NFC payment security. This platform has already been certified by MasterCard.

The second TSM is a multi-service platform focused on transport, commerce, loyalty, access control and facilities security.

Both platforms are hosted and managed on Orange Business Services’ own data centres.
