A self-styled “reboot of banking” that promises to integrate mobile, online engagement, social media and behavioural game theory into a new kind of customer experience for banking will launch a trial service on October 1. US-based Movenbank, which also says it will be the first bank to integrate contactless technologies such as NFC into its core proposition, will start by offering its service to a just few members of the public.

A commercial service is scheduled for the second half of next year. Movenbank also claims to be the “first everyday cardless bank” and has been pushing a slogan of “No paper, no plastic, no hidden fees” on its website in recent months. The founder is Brett King (pictured).
